Learn more today! www.bendix.com/careers **JOB DESCRIPTION:** Job Summary: Ensure material flow from warehouse to assembly or machining lines according to the production schedule, following departmental policy and established plant procedures. Maintain inventory accuracy by executing correct and timely SAP/ERP system transactions. Apply 5S as a strategy to keep all areas orderly and compliant with established standards. Strictly follow all EHS recommendations to ensure personal well-being, that of the entire team, and of the company. Essential Functions: * Supply material to assembly and/or machining lines per production scheduling, fulfilling at least one order ahead or visually checking for missing material. * Report damaged or unsuitable material for production use. * Assist in maintaining material in optimal condition on the production line. * Ensure material is in correct condition during physical movement, including: appropriate part number, correct quantity, no damage or contamination, and no mixing. * Replace packaging when required, including identification labels. * Report inventory discrepancies identified while performing responsibilities. * Perform daily inspection of assigned work equipment (RF gun, racks, and forklifts). * Conduct scheduled inspections/audits for assigned racks and forklifts, reporting damages or repairs per procedure. * Execute timely and accurate SAP system transactions. * Comply with applicable QS\-9000 and ISO\-14000 requirements for the Materials Department. * Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) process compliance—dispense oldest stock first—to guarantee proper material flow. * Immediately notify supervisor of any anomalies or special cases. * Proper use and communication via email as assigned to area. * Review and correct negative balances in the system for assigned work areas. * Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization per 5S standards. * Comply with company-established safety rules. * Comply with Plant and Department-established procedures. * Participate in Annual Physical Inventories. * Participate in Kaizen Events. * Support PSA activities and procedures with team members. * Employee has authority to stop the production line upon identifying a product quality issue or defect. * Perform all other duties reasonably required by the nature of the position. Management and Supervisory Responsibilities: * This position is not responsible for supervising other employees. Knowledge: Computer literacy and knowledge of SAP or other ERP/MRP systems. Experience: * Minimum six months of material handling experience. * Must be over 18 years old (requirement for forklift license). Skills: * Dynamic with immediate adaptability to process changes in systems. * Accustomed to working under pressure. * Availability to change shifts. * Flexible schedule, willingness to work overtime when required, and shift changes.
