Academic leadership, high-level communication, and critical thinking **General Position Objective** Design, deliver, and evaluate high-academic-standard learning experiences in master’s and doctoral programs in education, fostering the development of professionals and researchers capable of analyzing, innovating, and transforming educational processes with scientific rigor, ethical awareness, and social commitment. **Primary Functions and Responsibilities: Teaching** * Deliver classes using active methodologies and a critical-reflexive approach. * Develop didactic materials and digital resources. * Evaluate students’ academic performance. * Provide timely feedback on assignments, projects, and research progress. **Research and Tutoring** * Supervise theses, intervention projects, and capstone works. * Serve on thesis advisory committees and examination panels. * Participate in knowledge generation and application research lines. * Publish scientific articles and academic outputs. * Lead research seminars. **Academic Management** * Participate in academic departments, curriculum committees, and collegiate bodies. * Contribute to institutional accreditation and evaluation processes. * Propose improvements to the curriculum. * Support academic outreach and linkage activities. **Required Academic Profile: Education** * Master’s or Doctoral degree in Education, Pedagogy, Educational Sciences, or related fields. **Complementary Training** * Research methodology. * Curriculum design. * Online education and use of ICTs. * Educational assessment. * Thesis supervision. **Required Experience** * Hold an academic degree and professional license. * Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in higher education or graduate programs. * Experience supervising theses and research projects. * Verifiable academic output (articles, book chapters, conference presentations). * Participation in research or educational innovation projects. * Experience with virtual learning platforms such as Moodle, Google Classroom, or Canvas. **Technical Knowledge** * Contemporary theories and approaches in education. * Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research. * Academic citation standards (American Psychological Association, APA 7th edition). * Data analysis tools (SPSS, R, Atlas.ti, NVivo). * Instructional design and competency-based assessment. **Competencies and Skills** * Academic leadership. * High-level oral and written communication. * Critical and analytical thinking. * Tutoring and mentoring ability. * Planning and organization. * Collegial collaboration. * Innovation and creativity. * Professional ethics. * Intercultural sensitivity and social commitment. **Performance Indicators** * Student evaluations of teaching. * Course pass rate and student retention rate. * Number of supervised and completed theses. * Academic publications and conference presentations. * Participation in research projects. * Completion of academic and administrative tasks. **Working Conditions** * Availability for classes during flexible hours. * Participation in collegiate meetings and advising sessions. * Intensive use of digital technologies. * Possible travel for conferences and academic activities.
