




Position Summary: The Procurement Coordinator manages the material flow, focusing on tactical procurement and inventory control, to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) in the supply chain. Supervises the performance of the Materials Planner and provides feedback The Procurement Coordinator manages the material flow, focusing on tactical procurement and inventory control. Helps achieve performance indicators (KPIs), such as: coverage, on-time delivery, overdue orders, inventory level, E\&O, price variance, and freight. **EDUCATION REQUIRED:** * Bachelor's degree or Engineering degree * Bilingual: Spanish/English * APICS (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) \- Preferred **EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDES:** * 5 years of experience in a similar role (Supply Chain) * MPS, MRP, BPCS systems * Just-in-Time and Pull systems * Lean manufacturing * Project management * 5 Whys methodology * Distribution and logistics * Problem analysis and resolution * Results-oriented * Effective communication * Strategic planning **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND AUTHORITY OF THE POSITION:** * Coordinates activities to meet on-time delivery commitments with customers, including internal inventory transfers * Supervises and escalates raw material delivery issues * Analyzes, resolves, and follows up on critical component issues within the organization * Supervises the daily performance of the Materials Planner and provides constructive feedback **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:** * Identification of opportunities or critical situations * Coordination and liaison between the organization and suppliers to improve raw material delivery times * Oversight of weekly forecast levels * Communication of daily inventory levels to the team * Coordination of support for internal customers, ensuring maximum engagement and collaboration * Monitoring of ECN releases, changes, and availability with Engineering to prevent obsolescence * Monitoring of charges including freight, PPV, shipping fees, and negotiation of charges with suppliers (Bill backs) * Documentation, control, and tracking of excess and obsolete material (E\&O claims, accountability) * Support to the NPI Coordinator on projects involving common raw materials for new projects * Ensures that projects, procedures, and any other company guidelines are strictly adhered to in the Procurement Department's activities * Works with Procurement Department management to achieve departmental goals.
