Lead, plan, control, and optimize the company's production operations, ensuring timely delivery, quality, cost-efficiency, safety, and operational efficiency in meeting production targets.
This position requires a candidate with proven experience in industrial and metal-mechanical manufacturing, capable of leading operational teams, organizing production processes, improving key performance indicators, reducing waste, controlling costs, and ensuring disciplined, precise, and profitable plant operations.
### **Role Mission**
Ensure that production operations run in an orderly, efficient, and measurable manner, guaranteeing that manufactured products comply with technical specifications, quality standards, committed delivery schedules, and company-defined cost targets.
This role is not limited to supervision. It is a pivotal position for transforming production into a more professional, profitable, safe, scalable, and commercially and project-aligned operation.
### **Key Responsibilities**
**1\. Production Planning and Control**
Plan, coordinate, and monitor the overall production schedule, ensuring alignment of human resources, materials, machinery, tools, and timeframes with commercial demand and delivery commitments.
Ensure adherence to manufacturing schedules, avoiding delays, downtime, rework, bottlenecks, and operational deviations.
Coordinate production according to priorities set by Sales, Engineering, Logistics, special projects, and material availability.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly production progress tracking, identifying deviations and executing timely corrective actions.
**2\. Plant Management and Operational Leadership**
Supervise and lead production supervisors, coordinators, and operational staff, ensuring operational discipline, clarity of roles, compliance with standards, and results-oriented focus.
Strengthen a culture of execution across the plant by promoting order, punctuality, productivity, safety, quality, and accountability at every process stage.
Develop, train, and evaluate operational personnel, encouraging best practices, cross-functionality, internal leadership, and deeper technical specialization.
Ensure effective communication across shifts, production lines, manufacturing areas, and support departments.
**3\. Optimization of Production Processes**
Analyze, improve, and standardize production processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, shorten cycle times, and enhance overall plant productivity.
Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, visual control, root cause analysis, and process standardization.
Identify opportunities for automation, layout improvement, flow optimization, rework reduction, and better utilization of machinery, tools, and labor.
Drive a less reactive and more structured operation, with clear, measurable, and sustainable processes.
**4\. Product Quality and Technical Compliance**
Ensure manufactured products meet technical specifications, drawings, tolerances, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality departments to validate technical criteria, product releases, inspections, non-conformances, rework, and corrective actions.
Reduce defects, rework, material waste, and non-conforming deliveries through preventive controls and process discipline.
Guarantee that production operates under standards aligned with quality, safety, and environmental management systems.
**5\. Cross-Functional Coordination**
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, and Operations Management to ensure integrated operational execution.
Coordinate with Supply Chain on critical material availability to prevent production stoppages.
Coordinate with Maintenance on equipment availability, preservation, and performance of production machinery, tools, and assets.
Coordinate with Logistics and Shipping to release finished goods according to delivery priorities.
Coordinate with Sales and Engineering on any technical adjustments, priority changes, commercial urgencies, or special projects.
**6\. Production Cost Control**
Manage and control area operating costs, including labor, downtime, waste, rework, productivity, material usage, operational maintenance, and resource efficiency.
Analyze variances between planned and actual performance, proposing actions to improve profitability, efficiency, and budgetary control.
Ensure production contributes directly to business profitability—not merely to volume produced.
**7\. Industrial Safety and Regulatory Compliance**
Ensure compliance with industrial safety regulations, policies, and procedures within the plant.
Promote a preventive culture to reduce accidents, unsafe acts, hazardous conditions, and operational deviations.
Coordinate actions with Safety, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure safe, orderly, and standards-compliant operations—both internally and regulatory.
Ensure adherence to management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 where applicable.
**8\. KPIs and Reporting to Management**
Implement, monitor, and report key production KPIs, including:
* Production schedule adherence.
* Productivity per line, cell, or area.
* Labor efficiency.
* Downtime.
* Rework.
* Scrap and waste.
* On-time internal deliveries.
* Quality compliance.
* Accident rate.
* Production cost.
* Installed capacity vs. utilized capacity.
* Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), if applicable.
* Special project delivery compliance.
Report results, progress, deviations, risks, and action plans to Operations Management and Executive Management.
REQUIREMENTS
5–8 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or industrial operations, with at least 3 years in leadership, supervisory, coordination, or managerial roles within industrial, metal-mechanical, manufacturing, structural steel, rack systems, storage solutions, industrial construction, or project-based production companies.
Proven experience leading operational teams on the shop floor, managing KPIs, administering production programs, coordinating production areas, and improving industrial processes is essential.

**Academic Qualifications**
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
Additional training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Operations Management, Industrial Safety, Project Management, or Continuous Improvement is desirable.
