### **Job Functions** **Daily:** * Perform welding activities according to engineering specifications and as scheduled by the supervisor. * Perform sheet metal assembly and fitting tasks according to engineering specifications. **Periodic:** * Conduct basic maintenance of welding equipment. **Job Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded. * Assemble components and perform sheet metal tasks in accordance with engineering specifications to ensure proper assembly of parts to be welded. * Perform welding on required sections in compliance with engineering specifications. * Report non-conforming materials to the supervisor. * Report welding defects that do not meet engineering specifications. * Repair areas where welding is outside specification. * Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area. **Job Authority** ------------------------ * Assign tasks to the shift assistant. * Halt work activities that fall outside specifications. * Operate assigned equipment. **Education** ------------- * **Basic Level (minimum required):** High school diploma. **Technical Skills (Required)** ------------------------------------- * Use and handling of measuring tools (tape measure, squares, levels). * Use and handling of safety equipment. * Use and handling of welding equipment. * Blueprint interpretation. * Application of welding as required by the specific application. * Use and handling of flux-cored wire welding equipment. * Use and handling of stick electrode welding equipment. * Use and handling of argon arc welding equipment.
