POSITION PURPOSE Ensure the phytosanitary health of tomato crops in greenhouses through the proper implementation, monitoring, and control of preventive and corrective phytosanitary programs, guaranteeing the production of healthy, safe, and high-quality vegetables according to the standards of **Rising Farms S.A.P.I. de C.V.** **EXPECTED RESULTS** * Maintenance of pest- and disease-free crop conditions. * Compliance with established phytosanitary programs. * Timely and safe application of chemical and biological treatments. * Updated records for monitoring, control, and traceability. * Reduction of incidents affecting tomato production or quality. **DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES** * Supervise pest and disease monitoring activities. * Coordinate and verify the application of biological or chemical products. * Train and supervise applicator personnel in the safe use of agrochemicals. * Maintain up-to-date phytosanitary log records. * Ensure compliance with food safety standards (GlobalG.A.P., PrimusGFS, or others). * Report crop phytosanitary conditions to the production manager. **MAIN ACTIVITIES** * Daily inspection of greenhouses to detect pests or disease symptoms. * Plan and execute biological and chemical control actions. * Verify concentrations, dosages, and application equipment. * Coordinate calibration of pumps, backpack sprayers, and spraying systems. * Supervise the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Maintain communication with the quality and food safety department. * Prepare technical reports and comparative incidence analyses. **JOB COMPETENCIES** **Technical:** * Knowledge of plant physiology and agricultural entomology. * Identification of pests, diseases, and nutritional deficiencies. * Integrated pest management (IPM). * Dosage and safe handling of agrochemicals. * Knowledge of agricultural food safety certifications. **Behavioral:** * Operational leadership. * Responsibility and discipline. * Observation and analytical skills. * Teamwork. * Strict adherence to safety protocols.
