Our engineering and product innovation help keep soldiers and firefighters safe, is critical in building and keeping communities clean and helps people do their jobs every day.** Position Title: Assembly Production Operator **Description:** Ensure production area objectives are achieved by timely and accurate execution of standardized work at the assigned station, adhering to fundamental safety requirements without compromising product quality. All of the above while sustaining an inclusive, team-oriented work culture. The operator reports directly to the production supervisor via the *team leader*. **Responsibilities:** Ensure compliance with the production plan by assembling components correctly, completely, and efficiently per product specifications. Execute tasks outlined in the Standardized Work Instruction (SWI). Perform duties in accordance with the Internal Work Regulations (RIT). Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) 100% of the time. Understand and provide feedback to upstream and downstream workstations regarding product defects and conditions. Perform TPM \& crane checklist at the station. Ensure the workstation complies fully with the 5S standard. Follow all instructions issued by the team leader and production supervisor at all times. Fully adhere to all defined operational processes, including scrap reporting, non-conforming material reporting, near-miss reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, etc. Report any anomalies occurring in the process or identified at the workstation to the production supervisor. Minimize or eliminate material waste; exercise utmost care when handling electronic/mechanical devices. **Authorities:** * Authority to report and/or halt any activity identified as posing risk to the safety or integrity of any person within the facility—including employees, contractors, or service providers—as well as to facilities themselves. * Regarding quality, the employee has authority to stop any process or work activity identified as potentially compromising product quality or customer requirements—whether during their own operation or in upstream/downstream operations. **Basic and Preferred Qualifications:** o Prior experience in assembly lines preferred o Proficiency in using basic hand tools o Basic computer skills o Ability to interpret diagrams and schematics preferred o Gender: Not specified o Marital status: Not specified **Required Competencies:** o Adaptability o Commitment o Flexibility o Initiative o Participation in continuous improvement o Teamwork o Optimism o Willingness o Builds collaborative relationships
