Our engineering and product innovation help keep soldiers and firefighters safe, is critical in building and keeping communities clean and helps people do their jobs every day.** Position Title: Assembly Production Operator **Description:** Ensure production area objectives by timely and accurate execution of standardized work at the assigned station, adhering to basic safety requirements while maintaining product quality standards. All of the above while sustaining an inclusive culture of teamwork. The operator reports to the production supervisor with a direct line to the *team leader.* **Responsibilities:** Ensure production plan compliance by assembling components correctly, completely, and efficiently according to product specifications. Execute activities outlined in the Standardized Work Instruction (SWI). Perform tasks in accordance with the Internal Work Regulations (RIT). Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) 100% of the time. Understand and provide feedback to upstream and downstream workstations regarding defects and product conditions. Perform TPM \& crane checklist at the station. Ensure the workstation complies with the 5S standard. Follow all instructions issued by the team leader or production supervisor at all times. Fully adhere to all defined operational processes, including scrap reporting, non-conforming material reporting, near-miss reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, etc. Report any anomalies occurring in the process or identified at the workstation to the production supervisor. Minimize or eliminate material waste; exercise maximum care when handling electronic/mechanical devices. **Authorities:** * Authority to report and/or halt any activity identified as posing risk to the safety of any person within the facility—whether an employee, contractor, or service provider—or to facilities themselves. * Regarding quality, the employee has the authority to stop any process or work activity identified as potentially compromising product quality or customer requirements—either during their own operation or in preceding or subsequent operations. **Basic and Preferred Qualifications:** o Prior experience in assembly lines preferred o Proficiency in using basic hand tools o Basic computer skills o Ability to interpret diagrams and schematics preferred o Gender: Not specified o Marital status: Not specified **Required Competencies:** o Adaptability o Commitment o Flexibility o Initiative o Participation in improvement o Teamwork o Optimism o Willingness o Builds collaborative relationships
