You will lead teams and negotiate resources for problem-solving practices in cost-reduction projects related to safety, people, quality, delivery, and costs (providing on-site problem-solving support and plant training) to ensure successful and timely project completion.** **The Production Coordinator ensures all administrative tasks of the production office are successfully completed in alignment with KOS behaviors and structure (Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Costs, and Environment). You will serve as a trainer for developing team leaders and team members to support area-specific tasks.** **SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:** * **Responsible for daily production team activities, including team member management and achievement of production targets. Works cross-functionally to recommend and participate in improvements related to safety, people, quality, delivery, costs, and environment.** * **Provides guidance and feedback to team members to achieve tasks and objectives; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities.** * **Coordinates and supervises activities (5S; zero accidents; Poka-Yokes; training compliance; rotation; customer non-conformances; quality and HSE audits; production and shipping schedule adherence; zero negative transactions in material or product sales; LOTO compliance; MDO compliance; preventive and predictive maintenance; hourly board updates), and production meetings.** * **Mentoring and coaching of Supervisors and Team Leaders** * **Manages floor-level production operations** * **Promotes, educates, communicates, and follows up on safety initiatives.** * **Maintains safety culture through audits, behavioral observations, and incident investigations.** * **Helps secure resources to enable effective operations.** * **Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.** * **Knowledge of manufacturing systems (TPS), quality control procedures, manufacturing processes, and management systems relevant to production operations.** * **Must be willing to rotate shifts.** * **Assigns labor as needed. Training release plan. * Leads shift meetings for SPQRC. * Executes CIP workshops in Quality and Cost areas. * Supports the Unit Manager in jointly resolving labor issues with the union. * Manages budget and drives productivity improvements. **Skills/Requirements** * Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry (Tier 1–2–3 or OEM) * Bachelor’s degree required OR a total of 10 years of manufacturing experience. * Ability to lead problem-solving activities and leverage analytical capabilities. * Experience in Leadership/Management (Union, Salaried, Skilled Trades, or similar) * Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) * Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint) * English proficiency: 85 % * Personnel control (Eslabon desirable) and monitoring of production processes. * Experience managing workgroups (up to 50 people) * Flexible availability **EDUCATION:** Any combination of experience and training that is likely to provide the required knowledge and skills is acceptable.
