Generates a daily loading plan specifying orders to be shipped by appointment, unit type, and carrier. Responsible for generating efficient and logical routes to reduce transportation costs and minimize billing discrepancies, ensuring that transportation cost as a percentage of sales does not exceed 1\.2%. Manages and coordinates proper shipment planning by timely assigning appropriate transportation units for each scheduled destination (per the loading plan), verifying cargo volume to determine required unit capacity. Responsible for reporting any issues related to shipment planning to Customer Service, communicating the cause and best solution for shipping the order. Assigns transportation with the lowest freight cost across various carriers using consolidated local and international routes. Ensures scheduled carriers arrive at facilities at the designated time, always verifying that transit times to the end customer are sufficient to meet delivery deadlines according to company-established Lead Times. Generates daily shipment compliance metrics. Monitors and manages order consolidation with Customer Service to improve appointment consolidation efficiency. Generates carrier requests via the AMS portal to initiate the issuance of transport documents (carta porte). Generates labels and schedules package courier pickups (e.g., FEDEX/ESTAFETA). At quarter-end, ensures the R.R. report matches shipped orders and orders staged in the shipping area. Generates monthly reports on cost-savings and productivity metrics for finance departments. Project development. Prologis park access provisioning. Direct appointment scheduling with customers and sales teams based on transportation needs. Creation and maintenance of the customer database, specifying the required carrier for each order. Generation of access letters to carriers for customer deliveries. Management of human resources assigned to the shipping department.
