Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Junior Systems Engineer to execute, design, and manage functional testing, ensuring software quality with a focus on KPIs and defect reduction. Opportunities for continuous improvement and professional development 2 Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Junior Systems Engineer to join our technology team. The candidate will support the execution, design, and management of functional tests within a Digital Testing Factory model (Quality Engineering + Continuous Testing), ensuring software quality across multiple applications and release cycles, with emphasis on KPI compliance, traceability, and defect reduction in production environments. Guided by experienced leaders to carry out the following tasks. ________________________________________________________________________________ 3 Key Responsibilities - Test Design and Planning - Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria - Design test cases (positive, negative, boundary, combinations) - Develop test plans and strategies aligned with each cycle - Define test data and manage its lifecycle - Participate in refinement sessions (Three Amigos: PO, Dev, QA) ________________________________________________________________________________ - Test Execution - Execute functional tests (UAT, PVT, sanity, regression, smoke) - Validate environments and report configuration issues - Document evidence (logs, screenshots, reproducible steps) - Execute tests during release windows (including extended hours) ________________________________________________________________________________ - Defect Management - Log defects in tools such as ServiceNow or Jira - Ensure high-quality defect documentation - Participate in triage sessions with development teams - Track defects to closure within defined SLAs ________________________________________________________________________________ - Traceability and Documentation - Maintain traceability matrices (requirement-test-defect-evidence) - Document functional flows and test cases - Keep the test repository up to date ________________________________________________________________________________ - Continuous Improvement - Identify automation opportunities - Propose improvements to testing processes - Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) - Ensure compliance with quality and productivity KPIs - Interests - Software functional testing - Web and/or mobile application testing - Working in Agile environments (Scrum) - Technical Skills - Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript - Automation Tools: Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Cucumber, Playwright, Postman, Screenplay, Karate, RestAssured - Version Control: Git - CI/CD: AzureDevOps - Agile Methodologies: Scrum, Kanban - Certifications - ISTQB Certified Tester / Mandatory - Scrum Fundamentals (optional but desirable) - Soft Skills - Assertive communication - Teamwork - Openness and willingness to receive feedback As an IT consulting and software development partner, we specialize in the digital transformation of our clients in finance, insurance, and industry.
