**Position Objective**
-----------------------
Coordinate, supervise, and execute activities related to hospital epidemiological surveillance, prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections, as well as ensure compliance with current health and patient safety regulations.
**Main Responsibilities**
---------------------------
* Implement and monitor the hospital epidemiological surveillance program.
* Monitor and analyze epidemiological indicators and healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
* Prepare reports, statistics, and epidemiological analyses for institutional management and committees.
* Coordinate preventive and corrective actions during epidemiological outbreaks.
* Actively participate in the Infection and Patient Safety Committee.
* Train hospital staff on hygiene, biosafety, and infection prevention.
* Supervise compliance with health protocols, isolation procedures, and epidemiological control measures.
* Verify proper adherence to Mexican Official Standards (NOMs), Ministry of Health guidelines, and hospital quality standards.
* Monitor vaccination campaigns, disease notifications, and surveillance of communicable diseases.
* Collaborate with medical departments, nursing, Clinical Epidemiology Unit (CEYE), operating rooms, and quality assurance to strengthen institutional processes.
* Develop continuous improvement plans focused on patient safety and health control.
**Requirements**

* Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, with professional title and license.
* Specialty or Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, or related fields.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital epidemiological surveillance.
* Preferred experience in specialty hospitals or the public health sector.
* Knowledge of Mexican health regulations and hospital certification processes.
* Proficiency in handling indicators, databases, and report generation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
