The Rolling Stock (train) Maintenance Technician participates in both preventive activities (maintaining equipment in perfect operating condition) and corrective activities (resolving failures). The technician reports to the Workshop Manager or intermediate supervisor (supervisor, team leader) and is responsible for executing maintenance operations with strict adherence to defined processes, ensuring compliance with established service availability, reliability, and quality targets. The Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician possesses general technical knowledge acquired through foundational training in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, or a related field. All activities must be carried out in strict compliance with occupational safety regulations, including applicable legal provisions and Alstom’s safety rules, to ensure an increasingly safe professional environment for all employees. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** * Perform corrective and preventive maintenance operations on railway vehicles for which Alstom is authorized. Such maintenance includes combined tasks in electronics, instrumentation, assembly, electricity, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, industrial refrigeration, etc., corresponding to the required profile. The operator must possess sufficient capability to fulfill all trade requirements responsibly and with quality. * Perform reading, recording, and monitoring tasks under detailed instructions during the maintenance process. The operator must also receive, report, and enter results of performed maintenance operations via paper-based documents or preferably electronic devices (tablet, computer), to keep the IT database up to date. Data capture tasks using software packages—including word processors or similar—must be performed accurately, ensuring information quality (completeness, precision, accuracy). * Execute maintenance with quality, performing self-inspections when required by work instructions. * Collect/measure maintenance process data, including quantitative information (distances, temperatures, humidity, cycle durations…) and qualitative information (wear, defects, anomalies, etc.), reported via standardized data templates. * Carry out medium-scale corrective repairs on railway equipment, requesting support from on-site engineers—or engineers available remotely via communication tools—when necessary. **JOB REQUIREMENTS** **Basic Education** Higher or Intermediate Vocational Training Certificate and/or Technical Diploma, preferably specialized in Electromechanics or Mechatronics. **Additional Training** Knowledge and practical experience with low/medium/high-voltage (up to 25 kV) electronic or electrical tools and instrumentation.
