Collaboration in multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies DESCRIPTION We are seeking a Backend Engineer with experience in AWS and microservices architectures to join a project-based engagement focused on developing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions. The role targets technically strong candidates with experience in developing REST and/or GraphQL APIs, implementing cloud services on AWS, and building modern event-driven architectures. The candidate will participate in the design, development, and maintenance of microservices using technologies such as Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and/or Java (Spring Boot or Quarkus), ensuring sound development practices, code quality, and solution performance. The candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams under agile methodologies, actively participating in technical analysis, feature implementation, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement of applications. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the integration of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, DynamoDB, Cognito, and CloudWatch, as well as the implementation of solutions based on event-driven architectures and patterns including CQRS and hexagonal architecture. REQUIREMENTS \+3 years of backend development experience. Solid experience with Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and/or Java (Spring Boot or Quarkus). Practical experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, DynamoDB, Cognito, and CloudWatch. Knowledge of designing and implementing REST and/or GraphQL APIs. Experience developing microservices architectures. Familiarity with design patterns such as hexagonal architecture, CQRS, and event-driven architecture. Experience implementing messaging/event-based solutions using SQS, SNS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ. Experience with relational and non-relational databases. Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation). Experience in application monitoring, logging, and observability. Experience developing unit and integration tests. Proficiency with Git and version control workflows. Experience working under agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Ability to ensure code quality, security, and performance.
