Exercises authority over all internal personnel—including unionized and administrative staff—to ensure compliance with both corporate and local safety policies. **ACTIVITIES** *(The individual must be competent to perform the following activities)* * Lead follow-up on safety standards and requirements issued by Corporate EHS and their implementation at the plant. * Review pending items with the environmental technician and general supervisor. * Conduct safety talks with contractors. * Record SLI and KES monthly data. * Follow up on monthly inspections mandated by Corporate. * Submit purchase requisitions in SAP for PPE and stationery. * Manage the 5S Program at the plant, conduct audits, and submit the Monthly Report to Corporate. * Deliver orientation talks to newly hired personnel. * Track unsafe condition cards with various departments. * Coordinate lockout training sessions with production personnel. * Ensure locks are distributed to all personnel who completed the course. * Conduct plant walkthroughs to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, or potential hazards. * Coordinate supervisors’ execution of assigned inspections. * Maintain control of suppliers who have conducted safety talks and update the report accordingly. * Coordinate contractor compliance with required documentation upon arrival at IP. * Ensure all personnel attend the monthly meeting. * Follow up with personnel absent from the monthly meeting and forward relevant topics to supervisors for dissemination. * Schedule and coordinate yard and overall plant cleaning. * Follow up on annual studies mandated by regulations and Corporate. * Coordinate Emergency Response Teams, ensure their updates, and maintain valid DC\-3 documentation. * Coordinate the Hygiene and Safety Committee. * Coordinate fire extinguisher maintenance scheduling. * Obtain quotations and conduct applicable EHS studies—including waste and general garbage collection. * Request annual price quotations from suppliers and generate annual purchase requisitions. * Track annual trainings mandated by regulation—e.g., for forklift operators and maintenance staff. * Conduct incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and upload them into the IPS system. * Coordinate the monthly Safety Meeting (PWM), and provide training and information regarding SWO Card (Checkit) statistics. * Jointly plan the annual emergency drill with the Plant Manager per Civil Protection requirements. * Participate in both Corporate and regulatory agency audits. * Coordinate planning and execution of the annual LIFE Month event. * Receive and follow up on government agency inspection visits (JMAS, PROFEPA, Civil Protection SEDUE, etc.). * Provide safety support for cross-departmental activities. **Internal Organizational Relationships** **External Organizational Relationships** Relationships with all company departments, including contact with Corporate. Skills Proficiency in computer systems and software packages; familiarity with safety management systems for corporate tracking of safety metrics. Experience 3–5 years of experience managing the EHS area, implementing environmental and safety compliance programs at a coordination level.
