Position Summary: Analyze and develop statistical studies to estimate avocado production, collecting data and applying precise models. Key Highlights: 1. Design sampling schemes and propose improvements Position: Statistics Manager Objective: Analyze and develop statistical studies to estimate avocado industry production in Mexico at each stage, by collecting data and applying models that ensure maximum accuracy for reliable forecasts supporting production, purchasing, sales, and distribution estimates of the fruit **Key Responsibilities:** * Plan and coordinate field data collection * Estimate expected avocado harvest using historical data and field data collection, applying appropriate statistical models * Design all required sampling schemes for estimations * Propose statistical analyses to evaluate new improvement proposals across various association departments * Generate statistical analyses by cross-referencing different variables from databases produced by the industry * Propose and generate new statistical data analyses and reports * Review and analyze various statistical reports generated for the industry (national and international market trends) * Provide statistical advisory support to departments related to the industry * Train local board personnel on estimation methodology topics * Present estimation results to members (packer sector and producer sector) * Prepare budgets required for estimations and proper departmental operations **Required Technical Knowledge:** * Sampling, Statistical prediction methods, Experimental design, Avocado production. Required software proficiency: * SPSS (Advanced) * Minitab (Intermediate) * E\-views (Intermediate) **Education:** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Actuarial Science, or related fields. * Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar position * Advanced English proficiency Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. SALARY DISCUSSED DURING INTERVIEW.
