Has direct contact with Shipping, to develop and disseminate safe and reliable material packaging methods, ensuring proper delivery to the external customer.  Directly supports the Materials Receipt, Warehouse, Inventory Control, Purchasing, and EHSS areas in generating standardized, safe, and accurate material handling.  Interacts with suppliers to design and develop the most effective packaging options for each applicable material.  Develops, writes, and improves Packaging Work Instruction documents for applicable Materials and Logistics areas.  Implements Standard Packs based on material type, weight, and volume to ensure accurate and secure packaging.  Collaborates with the Sequencing Center to improve material packaging methods based on direct and indirect feedback from the installation site. **We offer:** ============= Performs assigned tasks as directed by the Materials Manager.  Specific responsibilities that may include one or more of the following approaches:  Lean Manufacturing: Application and coordination of projects using Lean Manufacturing tools to assist in the continuous identification and elimination of waste.  Training: Attendance at required training sessions for personal development, as well as delivering training within their scope of responsibility.  Improvement Projects: Generates, documents, and implements Continuous Improvement packaging projects using Kaizen and Cost Reduction tools.  Review daily activities, complying with KION's Compliance Code.  Support immediate supervisor in various assigned tasks.  Comply with applicable EHS&S procedures and practices in daily activities.  Act in an environmentally responsible and safe manner during daily operations.  Report any quality or EHS&S issues or concerns to the immediate supervisor. **Tasks and Qualifications:** ============================= Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
