Makes operational decisions and participates in procurement strategies. **Position Profile: Operations Manager** * **Position:** Operations Manager * **Department:** Operations / Logistics * **Reports to:** General Management * **Direct Reports:** Warehouse supervisors, logistics supervisors, procurement supervisors, branch supervisors, and operational staff **Position Objective** Ensure operational efficiency, profitability, and continuity of the company by properly managing warehouse, logistics, procurement, and spare parts distribution processes for tractor-trailers and tank trucks, guaranteeing optimal inventory levels, competitive delivery times, and high-quality customer service. **Main Responsibilities** * Supervise daily warehouse and branch operations. * Ensure inventory control and accuracy (receipts, issues, shrinkage, and turnover). * Optimize the supply chain (procurement, receiving, storage, and distribution). * Coordinate local and long-distance delivery logistics. * Ensure compliance with committed delivery timelines to customers. * Implement continuous improvements in operational processes. * Control operational costs (freight, storage, inventory, shrinkage). * Supervise and develop operational staff. * Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and hygiene standards. * Coordinate with the sales department to guarantee product availability. * Evaluate suppliers and manage strategic procurement. * Monitor key operational indicators (KPIs). **Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * Inventory turnover * Inventory level (days of coverage) * Inventory accuracy (%) * Order picking and dispatch time * Logistics cost as a percentage of sales * Shrinkage rate * On-time delivery performance **Position Profile: Education** * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field (degree preferred). **Experience** * 5–8 years in operations, logistics, or supply chain management. * Experience in the automotive industry, spare parts, or heavy-duty transportation (highly preferred). * Warehouse, inventory, and distribution management experience. * Experience leading operational teams. **Technical Knowledge** * Inventory control (FIFO, ABC analysis, turnover). * Supply chain and logistics management. * ERP / WMS systems. * Operational performance indicators (KPIs). * Demand planning. * Procurement and supplier negotiation. * Safety and hygiene regulations. **Core Competencies** * Operational leadership * Decision-making * Results orientation * Planning and organization * Problem-solving * Effective communication * Working under pressure * Analytical thinking **Skills** * Managing multidisciplinary teams * Negotiation * Data analysis * Continuous improvement * Time management **Working Conditions** * On-site work * Flexible working hours * Willingness to travel (branches/suppliers) * Working under operational pressure **Position Authority** * Making operational decisions * Direct supervision of key departments * Proposing process improvements * Participating in strategic procurement decisions **Internal and External Relationships** * **Internal:** Sales, Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Branches * **External:** Suppliers, Carriers, Key Customers Salary: $20,000\.00 \- $40,000\.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
