Experience: 2–4 years in precision metallurgical-mechanical plants or heavy machinery facilities. English: Advanced level (mandatory). Ability to read technical manuals, write reports, and participate in meetings with foreign suppliers or partners. Salary Range: $20,000 – $30,000 MXN monthly (gross) + benefits. **Position Objective:** Optimize manufacturing and assembly processes for plastic transformation machinery. Primary focus is on the efficiency of metallurgical-mechanical processes (machining, welding, assembly) and implementation of quality standards ensuring final equipment functionality. Key Responsibilities: Process Planning: Define manufacturing roadmaps (process routes) for each machine component. Shop Floor Optimization: Improve cycle times at CNC and manual assembly stations. Design Interpretation and Improvement: Review bilingual engineering drawings and propose modifications to facilitate manufacturability (Design for Manufacturing – DFM). Tooling Management: Specify and manage procurement of cutting tools, consumables, and workholding devices (jigs & fixtures). In-Process Quality Control: Ensure components meet required tolerances prior to transfer to final assembly. Foreign Supplier Coordination: Negotiate technical specifications and delivery timelines for mechanical components in English. Software: ERP/MRP system proficiency (for production control). Advanced reading of engineering drawings in SolidWorks/AutoCAD. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma). Required Specific Knowledge: Proficiency in chip-removal processes (turning, milling, grinding). In-depth knowledge of heat treatments and surface finishes (especially for spindles and plastic molds). Proficiency with high-precision measuring instruments. Competencies: Influential Leadership: Ability to coordinate with CNC programmers and operators without direct managerial authority. Sense of Urgency: Focus on resolving bottlenecks to avoid delays in machinery delivery. Cost Analysis: Ability to identify material or time waste.
