Job Description: Engineering Project Coordinator **Job Title:** Engineering Project Coordinator **Location:** Querétaro, Qro. **Department:** Engineering / Projects **Reports to:** Project Manager / Engineering Director **Position Objective:** Coordinate and ensure the proper execution of multidisciplinary engineering projects (electrical, mechanical, piping, control and instrumentation) from the engineering phase through delivery to the client, guaranteeing compliance with time, cost, quality, and scope requirements. **Main Duties and Responsibilities:** * Lead planning, tracking, and closure of assigned engineering projects, including schedule development, resource allocation, deliverable milestones, and change management. * Supervise electrical, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and control engineering disciplines, ensuring their deliverables (drawings, schematics, lists, specifications) are correctly integrated. * Coordinate with engineers from each discipline, drafters, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure effective communication, incident resolution, and standards compliance. * Verify that designs meet technical requirements, regulatory standards (food, pharmaceutical, beverage, dairy industries), and company standards, as well as perform quality reviews. * Control the project budget, identify deviations, propose corrective actions, and report financial status to the Project Manager. * Monitor the physical and technical progress of the project (engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly) and ensure deliverables are released according to schedule. * Manage project risks (technical, integration, scheduling, quality) and develop contingency action plans. * Ensure project documentation (final drawings, manuals, lists, delivery records) is archived and delivered to the client according to procedure. * Promote continuous improvement in the engineering process, encourage best practices, standardization, design reuse, and workflow efficiency. * Act as a liaison with the client, coordinating engineering reviews, approval of deliverables, scope changes, and progress reporting. * Support field surveys. **Minimum Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control or related). * Minimum verifiable experience of at least **3 to 5 years** in coordination or management of multidisciplinary engineering projects. * Solid knowledge in electrical, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and control engineering (P\&ID, Piping, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, etc.). * Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and applicable regulations (food, pharmaceutical, beverage, dairy industries). * Proficiency with project management tools: scheduling, milestone tracking, change management, performance indicators. * Excellent communication skills (oral and written), leadership, cross-functional coordination ability, and problem-solving capability. * Availability to work on-site (project in Querétaro) and conduct supplier/client reviews when necessary. * Proficient in Office suite; familiarity with engineering plant software (AutoCAD, PLAN 3D, etc.) and engineering document management systems is desirable. * Desired level of technical English (reading specifications, communicating with international suppliers)—though not essential. **Desired Competencies:** * Results-oriented, proactive, self-initiative. * Teamwork, integrity, commitment to quality. * Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple simultaneous deliverables, and meet tight deadlines. * Business mindset, focus on efficiency, process standardization. * Experience in process industries (food, pharmaceutical, beverage, dairy) will be an advantage. **Conditions and Benefits:** * Full-time position based in Querétaro, with occasional travel possible. * Competitive base salary aligned with market rates \+ statutory benefits \+ potential bonuses for milestone achievement or project results. * Professional growth opportunities: Project Manager, Engineering Head, etc. * Continuous training and development of project management skills.
