Description

Position Summary: Foreign trade professional with experience in managing IMMEX, PROSEC programs and customs procedures, applying regulations and trade agreements. Key Highlights: 1. Administration of IMMEX and PROSEC programs for tax optimization. 2. Comprehensive management of customs procedures and regulatory compliance. 3. Application of international trade agreements and customs regimes. * Request IMMEX extensions for importing raw materials and for manufacturing and exporting new products before SECON. * Request PROSEC (Sectoral Promotion Program) extensions before SECON to reduce tax payments. * Request additional permits for importing sensitive materials from other government agencies (SALUD, SEMARNAT, SENER, CICLOFAPEST). * Prepare and submit the annual report for the Export-Oriented Manufacturing, Maquiladora, and Services Industry (IMMEX). * Apply for and renew the ALTEX certificate to obtain support and administrative facilitations as a highly export-oriented company. * Obtain and renew the RUPA certificate (Unique Registry of Authorized Persons). * Obtain and renew Certified Company status. * Prepare and submit INEGI and SECON reports. * Monitor raw material inventory balances according to periods established by the IMMEX Decree, and correct discrepancies between documentary and physical inventory. * Classify raw materials, machinery, spare parts, and/or equipment for importation according to the TIGIE (General Import and Export Tax Tariff). * Correctly apply various international trade agreements (certificates of origin) and other benefits granted by SECON. * Correctly apply various customs regimes. * Prepare customs regime change documents. * Prepare invoices for hazardous waste. * Invoice imports and exports of raw materials, finished goods, spare parts, machinery, and equipment, applying tariff and non-tariff regulations. * Conduct audits of raw materials, finished goods, machinery, and equipment for import/export purposes. * Review import and export customs declarations prepared by the customs broker per Annex 22 (completion of customs declarations), and request corrections in case of errors. * Maintain integrity of foreign trade documents according to the retention periods established by law. * Request expedited processing at Mexican and U.S. customs. 1\. Education: * Completed undergraduate degree in international trade or related field. 2\. Skills and Competencies: * Ability to work under pressure while adhering to legal requirements. * Initiative and ability to lead and guide others. * Ability to work effectively both independently and within teams. * Decision-making ability. * Ability to perform complex tasks requiring independent judgment. * Positive attitude and initiative in performing job responsibilities. 3\. Experience: * Minimum of 10 years in foreign trade. * Experience managing the import-export program of a Mexican maquiladora and knowledge of customs laws. * Knowledge of the General Import and Export Tax Tariff (TIGIE – Mexico tariff codes and product classification). * Knowledge of the Mexican Import-Export system (Vastera) and basic computer software packages.
