**JOB DESCRIPTION:** Supervise the process of receiving sterile GBG pupae from the Sterile Fly Production Plant in Panama, continuing their life cycle through an artificial production system and field dispersal, as well as overseeing the Quality Control Laboratory to verify that flies meet required quality parameters. **JOB REQUIREMENTS:** · Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Entomology, Zoology, Agronomy, or related fields. · Experience: 1 year in a similar technical supervision and personnel management position. **FUNCTIONS** 1. Supervise preparation of environmental chambers for pupae receipt, as well as the towers required for each shipment. 2. Supervise pupae packaging, from unloading from transport through packaging of pupae into trays and emergency emergence towers. 3. Verify the shipment’s cargo manifest, authorizing commencement of the process once confirmation is received that all requirements are met. 4. Supervise hourly temperature and humidity records for emergence and cold chambers. 5. Supervise fly collections, verifying the volume (in liters) of flies produced per subgroup of received pupae. 6. Supervise packaging of flights scheduled for dispersal. 7. Maintain control over departure and arrival of dispersal aircraft. **COMPETENCIES** Knowledge of methods and procedures used in productive processes and quality control. Teamwork.
