Training and updates on measurement equipment. Job Objective Perform splicing, interconnection, and continuity testing of optical fiber networks. Main Responsibilities * **Splice** optical fiber strands using precision equipment. * **Prepare** drop cables, splice closures (torpedoes), and terminals (NAPs). * **Measure** network quality using OTDR and power meter equipment. * **Identify** and repair faults or breaks in optical fiber strands. * **Interpret** blueprints, fiber diagrams, and color codes. Required Qualifications * **Experience** operating precision fusion splicers and cutters. * **Knowledge** of interpreting optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) readings. * **Fine manual dexterity** for handling optical filaments. * **Availability** to work onsite and resolve network emergencies.
