Job Summary: We are seeking a CAD Mechanical Designer to develop and integrate mechanical solutions in train design, collaborating across disciplines from initial design through production support. Key Highlights: 1. Design and integrate 3D mechanical installations in the train design process 2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within a multicultural ecosystem 3. Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and problem resolution Req ID:515071 At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the industry’s broadest portfolio. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way toward greener, smarter mobility worldwide—connecting cities while reducing carbon emissions and replacing cars. As a CAD Mechanical Designer, you will be at the heart of our train design process—developing and integrating mechanical solutions within the Digital Mock-Up (DMU). You will collaborate across disciplines to bring concepts to life, from initial design through production support. Day-to-day, you will work closely with teams across the company—including product development, quality assurance, maintenance, and manufacturing—in a collaborative, multicultural organizational ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include: * Designing and integrating 3D mechanical installations * Performing pre\-sizing and interface definition * Creating and reviewing technical drawings and metadata * Conducting tolerance stack-up analysis and managing Space Allocation Models (SAM) * Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure design feasibility * Supporting production teams and participating in First Assembly Reviews * Contributing to continuous improvement and problem-resolution initiatives We value passion and attitude over experience, so we’ve listed some skills we believe will help you succeed and grow in this role: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. * Experience in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation (CATIA preferred) * Knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA or Teamcenter) * Experience in mechanical design (preferably in heavy industry or transportation) * Advanced English (capable of engaging in spoken technical conversations) * Attention to detail * Problem-solving and creativity * Adaptability and continuous learning You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you board one of our trains with friends or family, you’ll feel proud. If you’re ready for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you! **Important Note** As a global company, we are an equal-opportunity employer celebrating diversity across the 63 countries where we operate. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all. **Job Segment:** PLM, Management
