




Job Description and Responsibilities The **Product Development Engineer** is responsible for designing, developing, improving, and validating new or existing products, ensuring they meet functional, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, and cost requirements. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to bring ideas from concept to mass production. **Key Responsibilities** **Design and Development** * Create and modify 2D/3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD or others). * Develop design proposals, prototypes, and proof-of-concept tests. * Define materials, technical specifications, and manufacturing parameters. **Validation and Testing** * Plan, execute, and document functional, durability, performance, or safety tests. * Analyze results and implement necessary design adjustments. * Ensure compliance with applicable product regulatory standards. **Project Management** * Participate in the full development lifecycle (APQP, NPI, Stage-Gate, etc.). * Coordinate activities with process engineering, quality, procurement, manufacturing, and suppliers. * Track project schedule and assigned deliverables. **Technical Documentation** * Prepare bills of materials (BOM), engineering drawings, technical instructions, and test reports. * Manage engineering changes (ECO/ECN) and ensure product traceability. **Manufacturing Support** * Transfer new products to the production area. * Provide support during pilot runs, initial production batches, and technical issue resolution. * Identify opportunities for design improvement focused on manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), and cost (VA/VE). Experience and Requirements **Position Requirements** * **Education:** Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial, Electronics, Product Design Engineering, or related field. * **Experience:** 3–5 years in product development, mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, or related areas. * **Advanced English** * **Knowledge:** * Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD. * Materials and manufacturing processes. * Interpretation of engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). * Product development methodologies. * Root cause analysis and quality tools (8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, etc.).
