Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech **We are looking for top talent for the Facility Maintenance Engineer – Building Projects II position** **Purpose:** Under general supervision, supports the design, planning, and development of building construction projects and architectural modifications in collaboration with the EHS department and safety engineering contractors to ensure safety throughout the project’s construction process. Executes the project in compliance with CAPEX BP. Collaborates with the FM team to deliver the project per J&J Guidelines. Maintains records and documents all relevant project information. Maintains facilities and their systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) in optimal condition. **Key Responsibilities:** Under limited supervision and in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as Johnson & Johnson corporate procedures and guidelines, this position: * Manages external contractors for the construction of Critical Systems. * Ensures compliance with J&J management policies and Mexican government safety rules, regulations, and policies. * Complies with QMS, including pest control, cleaning, critical equipment maintenance scheduling, and CME. * Administers the Environmental Management System (QSM). * Complies with J&J EHS&S policies and procedures. * Supports supplier evaluations and development of key services and products. * Complies with J&J Records Management policies, retention programs, training, education, and documentation. * Addresses record retention notices, record cleanup, information management, inactive records, vital records, and third-party vendors as applicable. * Is responsible for communicating business-related matters or opportunities to the next management level. * For those supervising or managing personnel, ensures subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environment practices, guaranteeing that all necessary resources are available and in good condition when applicable. * Is responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations, policies, and procedures, or performs other assigned tasks as needed. **Qualifications / Requirements:** * Minimum 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, and/or medical device environments. * Industry preferred. * Prior supervisory experience preferred; may be required depending on the position level within the job family. * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering with proven experience in facility maintenance. * Expertise. * Must possess clear theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental engineering techniques applicable to the role. * Demonstrates in-depth technical knowledge of facility equipment and systems, as well as documentation control systems in a regulated manufacturing environment. * Proficiency in PC use and software relevant to the role. * Ability to manage projects, boundaries, scope, and duration. * Knowledge of project management principles and methods, tools, and techniques. * Interpersonal skills. * Communication across all levels. * Oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English. * Proficiency in computer software packages (MS Office, ACAD, MS Project). * Ability to plan and supervise projects. * Leadership. * Knowledge of Quality Systems and Audits (Preferred). * Excellent communication across all levels. * Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (EHS, Quality). **Required Skills:** **Preferred Skills:** Agility Jumps, Analytical Reasoning, Business Behavior, Collaboration Tools, Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), Data Analysis, Execution Focus, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), Process Oriented, Project Management Methodology (PMM), Project Management Office (PMO), Project Reporting, Project Support, Stakeholder Engagement, Statement of Work (SOW), Time Management
