Position Summary: Industrial Designer responsible for analyzing, developing, and controlling costs for furniture projects, ensuring financial and technical feasibility. Key Highlights: 1. Furniture proposal development and optimization, including manufacturing. 2. Cost estimation and budget analysis for furniture projects. 3. Support in the design and development of residential, corporate, and commercial furniture. Industrial Designer / Experience in Cost Estimation and Furniture Location: Miguel Hidalgo, CDMX (near Auditorio metro station or Campo Marte Metrobus stop) **Position Objective:** Responsible for analyzing, developing, and controlling costs for furniture projects, ensuring the financial and technical viability of each design, while also participating in furniture and manufacturing proposal development and optimization. Responsibilities * Cost estimation and budget analysis for furniture projects. * Material, hardware, finish, and manufacturing process quantification. * Preparation of quotations and supplier comparisons. * Review of drawings and designs to validate costs and feasibility. * Optimization of materials and proposals to reduce costs. * Support in the design and development of residential, corporate, and/or commercial furniture. * Preparation of exploded diagrams, technical datasheets, and specifications. * Coordination with production, procurement, and project departments. * Tracking design changes affecting costs. * Maintenance and updating of price and material databases. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, or related field. * Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture cost estimation and design. * Experience in budgeting, quantity take-offs, and cost analysis. * Knowledge of materials, carpentry, metalwork, finishes, and manufacturing processes. * Proficiency in: * NEODATA * SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar software * Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
