SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Description

Position Summary: Provides operational support on the store floor by managing sales, merchandise arrangement, and customer service to ensure achievement of operational and commercial performance metrics. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assists in arranging and presenting merchandise on the sales floor. 2. Provides customer service by clarifying product and pricing inquiries. 3. Accurately processes transactions at the cash register, including payments and returns. Provide support for in-store operational activities by adhering to established operational processes related to sales, merchandise arrangement, and customer service as defined by AutoZone, collaborating effectively to meet assigned store operational and commercial performance metrics. * Arrange merchandise on the sales floor, excess inventory, and delivery trucks in compliance with applicable merchandising guidelines. * Implement correct planograms; * Scan merchandise to fulfill inventory counts; * Perform proper fronting and labeling to categorize merchandise, and participate in opening/closing tasks as well as sales-floor cleaning activities to ensure accurate merchandise arrangement and effective store presentation. * Provide customer service by addressing inquiries regarding product location, specific product type information, functionality, and pricing, thereby delivering excellent service reflected in successful point-of-sale transactions; also handle customer phone calls to clarify questions about specific products or orders. * Accurately perform cash register transactions involving cash or credit/debit cards, and process returns in strict adherence to the store’s cash handling policy to ensure effective payment collection and sales transaction closure. * High school diploma or equivalent * Prior experience as a warehouse associate, cashier, or general assistant. * Customer service experience is preferred.
