Responsibilities include: * Supporting HARTING Mexico Manufacturing to ensure that manufactured and shipped products meet quality standards and customer requirements. * Ensuring quality with customers, processes, products, and suppliers. * Maintaining plant key performance indicators (KPIs) and measuring progress, implementing corrective actions when targets are not met. * Generating and analyzing trend charts to review customer complaints and process defects. * Ensuring and verifying proper use of measurement instruments, complying with quality standards using calibrated measurement equipment. * Managing the calibration plan for measurement and test instruments according to manufacturer and/or customer specifications. * Interpreting customer drawings to meet product quality requirements. * Identifying critical process points (CTQs) and controlling them. * Managing, coordinating, and ensuring containment actions upon receipt of customer complaints. * Issuing quality alerts to all relevant personnel in the plant; coordinating/convening root-cause analysis meetings with a cross-functional team. * Reviewing, analyzing, and approving containment and corrective actions to eliminate defects, ensuring no recurrence. * Monitoring the effectiveness of actions taken in response to customer complaints, applying the 8D problem-solving methodology to resolve customer complaints. * Supporting operational staff and managing their activities to achieve organizational objectives. * Assisting in resolving problems, conflicts, and interpersonal differences jointly with the quality technician to ensure effective team communication. * Managing internal and/or external audits to ensure all HARTING processes comply with applicable quality standards. * Validating incoming raw material inspections performed by staff and associated documentation. * Validating in-process inspections performed by staff and associated documentation. * Managing process and/or product change control. * Managing process deviations, ensuring correct execution per the deviation documentation. * Creating, modifying, and/or updating quality documentation for processes and the Quality Management System (e.g., Control Plans, Incoming/Process/Final Inspection Cards, Corrective Actions, Quality Procedures). * Auditing production lines for Control Plan compliance, verifying inspection frequencies and sample sizes. * Updating and maintaining the Control Plan document, incorporating necessary controls after each customer complaint in collaboration with the cross-functional team, aligned with updated failure modes in the PFMEA. * Training personnel to ensure adherence to IPC 610 and 620 standards during product inspection. * Developing limit samples defining acceptance/rejection criteria for quality defects—from NPI trial runs through mass production. * Supporting all project launch phases—from feasibility studies, selection of required measurement equipment and human resources, fixtures, interpretation of customer requirements—to final product delivery and reporting Safe Launch results. * Creating supporting documentation for the shop floor, such as Visual Aids, and producing physical samples to define defect acceptance/rejection criteria—managing their storage and preservation. * Performing required transactions in the SAP system. * Managing and supervising quality technicians and inspectors on the production floor. * Planning, managing, and administering training for newly hired quality technicians and inspectors. * Balancing the production line with quality personnel to meet the established takt time. * Enforcing the rule: “If a defect or nonconformance is detected three times consecutively or five times within one hour on the serial production line, the process must be stopped by Quality until the nonconformance is resolved.” * Participation, engagement, and initiative in generating HARlis improvement ideas. * Tracking and fulfilling HARlis-related activities. * Understanding the quality policy and quality objectives. * Performing duties and responsibilities in accordance with the documented quality system. * Recommending and implementing improvements to activities and processes within the quality system. * The above-listed responsibilities are illustrative, not exhaustive. Education and Professional Knowledge: * Industrial, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality management within industry. Required Functional, Technical, and Individual Competencies: \-Knowledge and application of IATF 16949\-2016, ISO 9001\-2015, ISO 14001, IPC\-A\-610, IPC\-A\-620, and/or other quality-related standards or certifications applicable to HARTING-manufactured products. * Lean manufacturing management. * Proficiency in quality instruments and tools. * Knowledge of metrology. * Familiarity with inspection techniques. * Core Tools. * Ability to audit internal systems, identify issues, and recommend solutions. * Knowledge of technical documentation. * Advanced English. * Effective communication, leadership, and strong interpersonal skills for teamwork. * Decision-making capability for optimal problem resolution. * Sense of urgency with a results-oriented focus. * Analytical ability and attention to detail. * Process innovation. * Ethics. * Design and management of efficient and sustainable processes. * Environmental and social corporate responsibility.
