This position will be based in Querétaro, Mexico. The process engineer establishes and reviews manufacturing processes, provides troubleshooting support, and improves conditions during injection molding. They oversee process effectiveness, enhance current conditions—including alternatives in peripheral equipment—to improve cost, efficiency, and quality of the injected product. They are also responsible for training technical staff on the injection process. This position audits mold process controls and variables in production and is accountable for adjusting and activating process safeguards and safety features on machines. **THIS IS HOW YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS** Evaluate, document, train, and implement new and existing processes. Training must include all technical staff across all shifts. Provide technical support and mentoring to process technicians, mold technicians, and operators related to the injection process. Develop and maintain required documentation to ensure processes and procedures are clearly defined and understandable by all employees. Provide technical support/solutions for manufacturing processes, improve performance and productivity, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and enhance the quality of molded parts. Demonstrated ability to start up, operate, and shut down equipment related to the process. Must be capable of working independently in developing new processes as well as resolving current production issues. Collaborate with equipment and material suppliers to resolve machine and material-related problems. Monitor and report issues with injection molds; recommend mold renewal based on production factors such as cycle counts, process capability, and tool history. Interact with customers to resolve issues and provide new project updates. Implement technical solutions—including statistical methodology—to meet customer expectations for cost, quality, and delivery. Support and facilitate facility and manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics efforts. **WHAT YOU BRING ON THIS JOURNEY** Education – Plastic, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3 years’ experience in injection molding process operations. Strong and diverse technical background in injection molding processing, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing, and quality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
