Job Summary: Perform maintenance tasks to ensure business plan compliance, safety, and quality, while promoting good manufacturing practices. Key Highlights: 1. Ensure safety, quality, and productivity on the plant floor. 2. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment. 3. Promote good manufacturing practices. **Job Objective:** Perform tasks and provide services that support the plant’s safety, quality, and productivity objectives to ensure compliance with business plans as established; additionally, ensure and promote good manufacturing practices. **Responsibilities:** * Comply with established occupational safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified at the plant and with corporate guidelines for safe job assignment performance. * Support and follow food safety system guidelines. * Inspect tools and machinery of peripheral and process-support equipment. Detect and correct equipment and machinery failures in a systematic and proactive manner, always adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and technological respect for such equipment. * Document and determine activities to be performed during line stoppages. * Perform preventive maintenance on peripheral equipment for can manufacturing and assigned support equipment. * Maintain hand tools supplied in orderly condition and good working order. * Operate computers for information retrieval and analysis, as well as activity logging. * Determine all supplies, materials, and parts required for each task. * Communicate relevant information to the next shift personnel. * Follow and participate in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Ensure and maintain healthy and safe working conditions. * Ability to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend, and follow complex instructions—whether written or spoken. **Job Profile:** **Knowledge:** * Minimum 2 years of work experience in maintenance. * Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. * Knowledge of mechanics (bearing replacement, transmission maintenance, general machinery, use of measuring equipment, dial indicators, micrometers). * Ability to follow established practices and procedures, as well as to read instructions and blueprints. * Problem-solving ability. * Knowledge of Word, Excel, JDE. **Education:** * Technical degree in machine tools, industrial mechanic, automotive mechanic, or related field.
