Position Summary: Design, configure, maintain, and optimize the MES system to ensure traceability, real-time control, and efficiency of production processes, acting as a liaison between operations and systems. Summary Position Objective: Design, configure, maintain, and optimize the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure traceability, real-time control, and efficiency of production processes at the plant. Act as a liaison between operations and systems to ensure efficient integration between ERP and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities and Duties Core Responsibilities: \- Configure, administer, and provide support for the plant’s MES system (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, GE Proficy, Rockwell FTPC, Ignition, Plex, etc.). \- Integrate MES with other systems such as ERP (SAP, Oracle), SCADA, PLCs, and databases. \- Implement system enhancements to ensure traceability, process control, and compliance with automotive standards. \- Oversee real-time data collection from equipment, workstations, and production lines. \- Monitor MES system performance and resolve technical issues. \- Generate key reports: line efficiency, scrap, OEE, production compliance, quality, cycle times, etc. \- Collaborate with departments such as production, quality, and maintenance to adapt the system to their needs. \- Participate in Industry 4.0, automation, and plant-level data analytics projects. \- Train users on proper MES usage. Document system processes, configurations, and modifications. Education / Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Experience: 2–5 years in MES systems, preferably within the automotive or advanced manufacturing industry.
