Mexican metalworking company seeks: MECHANICAL WORKSHOP SUPERINTENDENT
Profile: We seek candidates with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metalworking Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields, possessing a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role or as Mechanical Workshop Supervisor (dies) within metalworking and/or automotive manufacturing companies. Solid knowledge of toolmaking, molds, machining, tool repair and maintenance, as well as experience in personnel management and die adjustment, is required.
Responsibilities and Activities (non-exhaustive):
* Coordinate die modification and adjustment according to production requirements and changes in part designs
* Coordinate activities with production to meet established deadlines
* Plan and supervise activities of the Mechanical Workshop staff
* Implement process improvement actions for workshop manufacturing and operations
* Control and manage inventories of materials and spare parts required for production
* Prepare and submit productivity, maintenance, and safety reports to the Manufacturing Deputy Director
* Validate interpretation of drawings and technical specifications to ensure parts are manufactured per required quality standards
* Make decisions regarding resolution of technical problems in manufacturing processes
Skills and Knowledge:
* Metal part stamping (metalworking and automotive industries)
* Preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery, including presses, dies, and other manufacturing equipment
* Interpretation of drawings and technical specifications for design and manufacturing of automotive parts
* Measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems
* Strategic planning
