Position Summary: Formulation Chemist responsible for developing and improving cleaning products, leading R&D projects, researching market trends, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key Highlights: 1. Development and improvement of innovative cleaning products. 2. Leadership of projects from conceptualization to production. 3. Research on trends and new technologies in formulation. Responsibilities of the Formulation Chemist Develop, formulate, and improve cleaning products (detergents, fabric softeners, degreasers, cleaners, and automotive products). Lead new product development projects from conceptualization through to production release. Research market trends, emerging technologies, and innovative raw materials to develop competitive products. Design prototypes and conduct laboratory tests to validate stability, performance, viscosity, pH, fragrance, and efficacy. Execute pilot tests and scale-up to plant level for new products. Evaluate and select raw materials based on quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness. Adjust formulations based on test results, production feedback, and customer requirements. Prepare technical data sheets, safety data sheets (SDS), and formulation documentation. Provide technical support to production during start-ups, technology transfers, and resolution of deviations. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental impact regulations. Collaborate with procurement on qualification and evaluation of new suppliers. Conduct stability studies (shelf life, accelerated testing, and real-time shelf storage). Optimize costs without compromising product quality. Participate in addressing technical complaints and improving existing products. Maintain an up-to-date formulation and development database. Focus on New Product Development Develop products aligned with trends (eco-friendly, biodegradable, concentrated, high-performance). Substitute raw materials with more efficient or sustainable alternatives. Innovate in fragrance, color, texture, and packaging. Develop customized products according to customer or market needs.
