Job Summary: Verify the compliance of electrical installations and equipment, ensuring final product quality through inspections, testing, and technical documentation management. We are seeking: Electromechanical Quality Inspector. Job Mission: Verify that electrical installations and equipment comply with product specifications, regulations, and safety standards, ensuring final product quality. This includes material inspection, on-site process supervision, testing, and technical and quality documentation management; likewise, guaranteeing mechanical product and process compliance with quality standards and technical specifications through visual inspections, measurements, and testing. Education: Automotive Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electromechanical or Industrial Engineering degree. Experience: 3 to 5 years in the automotive industry. Language: English (Basic/Intermediate) Main Responsibilities: Inspect and test the bus's electrical systems to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards, reviewing drawings, verifying installations (wiring, subpanels, etc.), and documenting findings. Analyze available technical information within Volvo systems (drawings, TRs, TechNotes, etc.). Determine whether a finished product or process complies with design standards and specifications, and identify when corrective actions in assemblies are required. Input operation confirmations into the FIORI system according to established quality standards, register detected deviations or incidents, and close them within the same system. Implement problem-solving and quality improvement techniques coordinated with their team of 4. Conduct and follow up on reports for out-of-specification or non-conforming materials. Prepare and follow up on material rejections. Follow up on implementation and closure of internal campaigns and Delivery Stops assigned to their team of 4. Develop quality improvement strategies in their assigned area through process audits and action plan follow-up, as well as other methodologies. Train operational staff on items, criteria, and operations to eliminate quality defects. Analyze recurring items reported in FTT and Product Audits; and determine whether any problem-solving method is required to prevent recurrence. Complete root cause analyses for items assigned to their team of 4 in the PRAudit system. Develop visual aids to eliminate quality defects. Inspect parts during the return process. Ensure completion of the physical traveler card. Report the need for calibration of measurement equipment in the area. Use of TVE. Control plan handling. Understanding and use of Volvo standards and TRs. Basic knowledge of mathematical operations. Handling and maintenance of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and cutting tools (grinder, drill, screwdriver, heat guns, drill bit sharpening and drilling, etc.). Handling and maintenance of measuring instruments (torque wrench, flexometer, caliper, etc.). Knowledge of bus components. Locate, read, and interpret process sheets, manuals, and drawings (symbolism). Knowledge and application of tightening techniques according to standards (torques). Alignment and balancing. Fluid level control. ABS system handling. Engine and powertrain installation knowledge. Familiarity with and maintenance of US 10, B13R, and FSS and FCW systems. D13 engine and transmission overhaul.
