Job Summary: This position focuses on the setup, operation, and verification of sharpening machines to ensure tool quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. CNC sharpening machine setup and operation 2. Verification of dimensions and finishes using precision instruments 3. Ensuring compliance with quality standards - Retrieve tool orders and drawings from the next work order. Perform sharpening machine adjustments according to drawing specifications and tool requirements. - Select and mount appropriate grinding wheels for the job on the CNC machine - Request third-party truing of wheels or perform truing in-house if no external support is available - Operate the sharpening machine to grind tools, ensuring correct geometry and cutting angles. - Verify geometry using the Zoller system - Check dimensions and finishes of sharpened tools using precise measuring instruments such as micrometers, Zoller, or other required verification methods - Ensure tools meet required quality standards and specifications. - Maintain records of sharpened tools, including tool type, quantity, sharpening time, and any relevant observations.
