




Job Summary: Responsible for the development and validation of airbag and steering wheel systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to negotiate designs and ensure compliance with specifications. Design products and perform validation according to customer specifications. **Application Advanced Engineer** ##### **Where You’ll Work:** Parque Industrial del Norte 87316 Matamoros, Tamaulipas ##### **What You’ll Do:** Responsible for the development and validation of driver airbag and/or steering wheel systems. Lead, execute, and support a broad range of project activities across the technical phases of assigned programs. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional team members at both divisional and global levels, as well as frequent interaction with OEMs, internal support functions, manufacturing plants, and suppliers. * Create and validate product designs for steering wheels and driver airbags. * Work with customers to negotiate aesthetic design versus Autoliv’s design standards and processes. * Collaborate with global team members to validate and launch global programs locally. * Balance manufacturability with fulfillment of customer requirements. * Understand customer specifications and ensure the product is designed and validated in accordance with them. ##### **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. * 3\-5 years of experience in similar roles. * Prior experience in: steering wheels, driver airbags, Class A automotive interior component design, product design, CAE (desirable). * Proficiency in English (minimum B2\). * Design / CAD. * Perform tolerance stack-up analysis. * Apply GD\&T on drawings. * Ability to understand manufacturing requirements, e.g., die casting, RIM, injection molding, stamping, assembly. * Interpret CAE results. ##### **What You’ll Get:** * Attractive compensation package. * Recognition programs, company events, family events, university discount options, and many other benefits. * Gender Pay Equity.
