Job Summary: You will be responsible for creating and managing the daily/weekly production schedule, ensuring customer demand is met while optimizing flow in a high-volume environment. You will analyze materials, capacity (labor and equipment), and WIP to enable proper shop-floor flow, reduce delays, and improve plan performance in a high-volume, growing environment. Our Team: You will join GSP (Global Shared Plants) in Guadalajara and report to the Planning Manager. You will work closely with Warehouse & Shipping, Production Planner, PSA & Inventory Accuracy Coordinator, line supervisors and leaders, Program Management, CSR, Finance, Engineering, NPI, and Quality, acting as the bridge between Production and Materials to provide visibility and ensure execution. What You’ll Do: * Build and adjust the production schedule (daily/weekly) to balance demand, capacity, and material availability, ensuring CRD/MPD compliance * Drive plan health by reducing late backlog and enabling backlog prioritization and clear-to-build, with a focus on outcomes (e.g., CRD 85% and MPD 90%) * Define and implement optimal material movement strategies to reduce WIP inventory risk (aging, rework, accumulation) * Lead plan attainment tracking with Operations, enabling agreements, actions, and execution discipline to elevate shop-floor performance * Coordinate with Warehouse and Inventory on effective transactional control methods to ensure WIP accuracy, proposing visual management and controls such as Days of Supply * Work with cross-functional teams to implement Lean Manufacturing (e.g., supermarkets and material delivery methods), incorporating technology/automation where it adds value * Anticipate and resolve line interruptions (material, people, machinery), escalating timely to Procurement, Planning, or Operations * Ensure robust Work Order governance: control of POV (Production Order Variations), timely closure to avoid WO aging > 10 days, and disciplined MRP messaging/execution to prevent financial and Slow & Excess impacts * Document and standardize processes in the plant’s Quality Management System and sustain Good Documentation Practices * Maintain timely communication with Customer Service Reps (CSR) regarding customer inquiries and commitments * Actively support 5S, EHS, Quality, and Lean programs, identifying improvement opportunities and promoting order and discipline in the area Who You Are (Basic Requirements): * Bachelor’s degree (required) and Engineering background (required) * 2–6 years of experience in production control, planning, scheduling, or materials in manufacturing * Solid knowledge of ERP/MRP and shop-floor execution (WO, transactions, MRP messages, variation tracking) * Proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, SUMIF) and Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Outlook/Notes) * Experience applying problem-solving and continuous improvement tools (Ishikawa, 5 Whys, PDCA, Kaizen) and ability to work independently, organizedly, and collaboratively, with a service-oriented attitude What Will Set You Apart (Desirables): * Experience in planning (plus) and/or cleanroom environments * Experience in back-end assemblies, SMT, and/or configure-to-order * Knowledge and experience with SAP or other ERP (desirable); Kaizen & SAP highly valued * Experience leading cross-functional teams to implement automation/technology * English (desirable; not mandatory) Who We Are: At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
