In this role, the technician applies maintenance and reliability practices to ensure all assets remain in safe condition while continuing to secure equipment service life. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------- * Implement and modify programming under supervision. * Participate in the design and installation of new or upgraded equipment and machinery. * Perform advanced troubleshooting of machinery and automation failures, including motor control devices, input detection devices, and other output devices. * Provide feedback and suggestions to improve plant asset reliability while troubleshooting machinery and automation failures as needed. * Conduct periodic inspections and maintenance on packaging equipment, processing equipment, storage systems, plant utilities, and other mechanical and electrical systems with limited guidance. * Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** ------------------ * Must be at least 18 years of age * Completed high school diploma or higher * Minimum of 3 years of experience working in maintenance * Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing up and down stairs, kneeling, squatting, or twisting safely, with or without reasonable accommodation * Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms, with or without reasonable accommodation * Ability to work in elevated areas (1.20 meters or higher) * Ability to work in various environments where noise, dust, chemicals, etc. may be present, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) * Ability to operate industrial machinery and/or equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation * Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts, with prior notice * Preferred: Experience using computers * Preferred: Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as Excel and Word * Preferred: Availability to work under varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat At Cargill, we champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in our processes!
