This position will also be responsible for assembling a variety of equipment and tools, as well as performing tests when required. Additionally, the Precision Assembler will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly during any repair process. This individual will have access to the most modern materials and tools in our facilities to fulfill these responsibilities and ensure delivery of high-quality products to our customers. ### **Responsibilities and Requirements** * Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing tests when necessary. * Demonstrate an advanced understanding of inspection equipment, its functions, and applications to ensure all parts and assemblies meet specifications. * Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed correctly, following all established procedures. * Comply with all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment. * Operate various precision measurement tools, such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, and CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), in a warehouse environment, as well as hand tools—for example, hydraulic torque wrenches and torches. * Identify, analyze, and resolve problems within the assembly process. * Maintain high attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset. * Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as converting one type of measurement to another. * Participate in Continuous Improvement (CIP) activities as needed and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, technical diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. * Ability to prepare routine reports and communicate clearly with coworkers, supervisors, and customers. * Demonstrate a customer-service mindset focused on on-time delivery and work quality. * Basic computer skills to use and/or learn data capture systems and Microsoft Office suite. * Availability to work overtime and weekends with minimal advance notice when required. * Demonstrate behaviors that foster teamwork and continuous improvement. * Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds (approx. 23 kg). * Other duties as assigned. ### **Preferred Experience / Skills** * Shop experience. * Knowledge of automation control and electrical components. * Experience as a rotating machinery mechanic, mechanical device technician, or general mechanic. * General education certificate or technical/vocational training certification. * High school diploma (HS Diploma) / GED and/or 0–2 years of relevant experience.
