Job Description **A leading financial company urgently requires:** DevOps / Release Manager / Version Control Lead. **Location:** Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City (Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote) **Salary range:** Up to ~MXN $60,000 gross monthly + statutory benefits and above-market perks **Position Overview:** We seek a professional with solid experience in version control and production environment management to ensure the quality, reliability, and traceability of software versions prior to deployment. Ideal candidates will have experience in financial or payment processing environments, where accuracy and regulatory compliance are critical. Requirements **Key Responsibilities:** Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end version control process—from testing, review, and approval through to production deployment. Manage versioning tools such as GitLab, including branching, tagging, releases, and incident tracking. Ensure versions meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, security policies, and performance benchmarks before release. Collaborate with development teams (Java, COBOL, C++, Unix, Solaris, Red Hat, Windows) to validate scripts, patches, and releases. Oversee high-availability schedules, including remote night shifts and weekend operations (for production support). Lead a team of at least four members involved in version lifecycle management, deployments, rollbacks, and audits. Ensure versioning infrastructure aligns with banking, payment systems, or clearinghouse environments—guaranteeing regulatory compliance, business continuity, and operational trust. **Minimum Requirements:** Minimum 3 years’ experience in Unix environments (Solaris, Red Hat), Windows, and scripting languages/tools such as Shell Script, PL/SQL, Java, COBOL, C++. Experience with version control tools (GitLab) — Mandatory Knowledge of cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Intermediate English proficiency Experience leading teams (minimum of 4 people) Availability to work night shifts and weekends remotely (high availability) Mandatory experience in payment systems, clearinghouses, or banks (financial transaction system versions, regulatory compliance, transactional environments) **Nice-to-Have (Bonus Qualifications):** Certifications in DevOps, version control, or release management Familiarity with production infrastructure in banks or fintechs Experience in automated deployments (CI/CD) Knowledge of financial sector-specific regulatory frameworks (Basel, SOX, PCI-DSS) 4 years
