Position Summary: The Precision Assembler will be responsible for preparing assembly tasks and related documentation. This role involves assembling a variety of equipment and tools, as well as performing required testing. Additionally, the Precision Assembler will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly during any repair process. This individual will have access to the most modern materials and tools in our facility to meet these expectations and ensure delivery of a high-quality product to our customers. Responsibilities and Requirements: Perform assemblies per drawings, instructions, and work orders, conducting tests when necessary. Demonstrate advanced understanding of inspection tools, their functions, and applications to ensure all components and assemblies meet specifications. Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed correctly, following all assembly procedures. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Operate a variety of precision measuring tools—including micrometers, calipers, and CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines)—in a warehouse environment, as well as hand tools such as hydraulic levers and welding torches. Identify and resolve issues arising during assembly. Possess keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, including computation of rate, ratio, and percentage, and conversion from one unit of measure to another. Participate in CIP activities as needed and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures. Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, technical schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and customers. Demonstrate a customer-focused approach to on-time delivery and quality craftsmanship. Basic computer skills to use/learn data entry systems and the Microsoft Office suite. Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed with minimal advance notice. Demonstrate behavior that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Experience and Skills: Shop experience. Knowledge of automation controls and electrical components. Experience as a rotating machinery mechanic, mechanical device technician, or general mechanic. General education certificate or vocational training.
