**IT People Talent is seeking an On-Site Technical Support Trainee in Gustavo A. Madero, Mexico City**

We are Premier Partners of Cisco, Fortinet, and Avaya. As our coverage expands, we are seeking Technical Support Trainee Engineers to provide on-demand branch support.
**Your Role:** You will be responsible for on-site incident resolution (at various locations) related to networks, peripherals, cabling, and/or POS (point-of-sale terminals), in accordance with defined service levels.

**Value Proposition**
* **Starting Salary:** MXN 13,000 net (statutory benefits and indefinite-term contract)
* If you own a car or motorcycle (fuel reimbursement plus 40% maintenance coverage); otherwise, per diem allowance.
* **Working Hours:** Monday to Saturday, two shifts: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 11:00 AM–8:00 PM (Sunday on-call duties are rotated with Saturday rest days).
* **Work Location:** Home office and on-site support as required.
**What We’re Looking For:**
* 1 year of experience as: Technical Support Trainee, Technical Support Intern, Service Desk Agent, Systems Assistant, Systems Analyst, Telecom Engineer, Telecommunications Consultant, or Cabling Technician.
* Students, incomplete degree holders, or interns pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
* Optional: Car or motorcycle (valid driver’s license)
* Openness and user-facing skills for branch-level support.
* Availability for field support across various locations regarding implementation, configuration, and network, AP, cabling, device, etc. support.
* 6 months of experience in LAN, WAN, VLAN networks; handling 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies; site surveys; heat maps; topologies; equipment configuration; network change implementation, etc. Knowledge of Access Points, Routers, Switches, Wireless systems, CODECs, Modems, Wireless technologies, among others.
* 6 months to 1 year of experience in structured cabling installation and support (basic tool handling, installation, maintenance, and support)
* Familiarity with at least one ticketing platform for incident handling, logging, tracking, and closure.
* Experience identifying faults, root causes, equipment replacements, and new installations.
* Evidence reporting, activity descriptions, and third-party escalations.
* Highly desirable: Experience supporting point-of-sale (POS) terminals, printers, and peripherals.
