Ensures all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable internal standards, policies, and procedures. *Responsibilities* * Promotes a customer-centric culture to deepen client relationships and leverage the Bank’s extensive relationships, systems, and expertise. * **Leads the end\-to\-end expense analysis process:** Designs, executes, and enhances the full monthly expense analysis and commentary process, covering both pre\-allocation (by function) and post\-allocation (by segment) result analysis, ensuring traceability, consistency, and analytical depth. * **Generates regional commentary packs:** Prepares and delivers analysis and variance explanation packages to the IB FP\&A team in Toronto, ensuring adherence to deadlines, BNS standards, and templates. * **Conducts in-depth variance analysis:** Investigates root causes of significant variances (Actual vs. Plan, Actual vs. Forecast, M/M, Y/Y), generating recommendations and early alerts for Management, DGAs, and business units. * **Analyzes and generates insights from the Forecast and Planning cycle:** Using consolidated data from the Expense Management Subdirectorate, conducts reasonableness analyses, identifies trends, variances, and scenarios to provide critical and strategic input into the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, supporting the expense narrative for Management and regional teams. * **Engages stakeholders at multiple levels:** Serves as the analytical point of contact for DGAs, Accounting, business units, local senior management, and regional IB FP\&A teams, communicating expense findings and narratives clearly and executively. * **Develops executive presentations:** Synthesizes complex analyses into clear, actionable materials for audiences across various hierarchical levels, including the General Management, CFO Mexico, and International Banking Finance. * **Drives continuous improvement of analytical processes:** Proposes and implements enhancements to analytical methodologies, data quality, and efficiency of the actuals review and forecast generation process, aiming to increase added value and reduce turnaround time. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field * Minimum 3 years of experience in FP\&A, financial analysis, or budget planning, preferably within the financial or banking sector * Advanced analytical thinking with the ability to generate executive narratives from complex data * Strong presentation and effective communication skills (oral and written) across multiple hierarchical levels * Experience managing stakeholders at various levels, from operational areas to senior management and regional teams * Ability to synthesize financial information into actionable insights * Holistic business perspective and understanding of expense structures in financial institutions * Intermediate\-advanced English (ongoing interaction with regional teams in Canada) **WE OFFER:** * Competitive salary * Direct employment with the Institution * Benefits exceeding statutory requirements * Professional development and growth opportunities within the Scotiabank Group **WORK LOCATION:** Miguel Hidalgo Borough, At Scotiabank, we value the unique skills and experiences each person brings to the Bank and are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone.
