Position Summary: Ensure proper recording, control, and analysis of accounting and financial information, guaranteeing tax compliance and generation of reliable information for decision-making. General Accountant **POSITION OBJECTIVE:** Ensure proper recording, control, and analysis of the company's accounting and financial information, guaranteeing compliance with current tax and accounting regulations, as well as generating reliable and timely financial information for decision-making. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:** · Supervise the correct and timely recording of the company's accounting transactions. · Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. · Ensure timely and proper fulfillment of tax obligations (Income Tax, VAT, withholdings, among others). · Prepare and file tax returns with the relevant authorities. · Coordinate monthly and annual accounting closings. · Perform periodic bank and accounting reconciliations. · Manage and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable. · Cleanse and consolidate accounting accounts to ensure their accurate presentation. · Record provisions, depreciation, and amortization. · Respond to internal and external audit requests by providing required information. · Implement and supervise internal accounting and tax controls. · Analyze financial variances and propose corrective actions. · Manage tax refunds and tax credits (where applicable). · Coordinate and supervise accounting staff under direct supervision. · Maintain up-to-date accounting and tax records for the company. · Support budget preparation and financial forecasting. · Present financial reports to General Management for decision-making. · Safeguard the company's accounting and tax documentation. · Ensure compliance with current accounting and tax standards. · Participate in continuous improvement of accounting and administrative processes. · Receive, address, and implement changes resulting from audits. · Perform any other duties inherent to the position or assigned by the immediate supervisor. **Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting (degree preferred) **Language:** Spanish **Years of Experience:** 3 to 5 years in a similar role. **Equipment Proficiency:** Computer, accounting systems (ERP), SAT portals, Office suite (Intermediate\-Advanced Excel).
