SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage the effectiveness of various departments across the plant and achieve production objectives through efficient utilization of assigned personnel, materials, and equipment per engineering standards. * Communicate departmental associate expectations directly to supervisors. Facilitate understanding and acceptance of these expectations through daily/weekly/monthly reviews and continuous monitoring of performance results as prescribed by the Production Manager. * Provide leadership and direction for salaried and hourly personnel assigned to the operation. Conduct performance evaluations for production supervisors as prescribed, and approve performance evaluations for union associates initiated by production supervisors. * Continuously monitor and adjust required training needs to support compliance with production activities per Engineering Standards. * Interact with supervisors across all production activities and oversee accurate data entry for production reports in SAP. * Ensure supervisors are accountable for generating accurate reports on all required reports and standard hourly work sheets. Design and implement solutions if hourly/daily/weekly compliance is not met. * Responsible for coordinating daily and weekly meetings with production supervisors and support department leaders to review results and define corrective actions. * Coordinate quality improvements within the department by collaborating closely with all support groups. * Manage the assigned department’s expense budget for all raw materials and consumables per engineering standards. * Develop charts/statistics upon request to track manufacturing performance metrics. * Support Finance with controls and pre-approvals for overtime hours. * Manage the assigned manufacturing expense budget. HR External Business Relationships: NA EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Any combination of experience and training likely to provide the required knowledge and skills is acceptable. However, the following is preferred: Minimum 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong technical experience in supervision and enhancing departmental efficiency. Effective oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to prioritize and schedule work to meet production and quality deadlines. Problem-solving skills to deliver viable and efficient solutions for the factory environment. Proficiency in speaking, writing, and understanding English is required. EDUCATION: Any combination of experience and training likely to provide the required knowledge and skills is acceptable. However, the following is preferred: * Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Metallurgical-Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
