Position Summary:
Microbiology professional responsible for performing laboratory and monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with Good Practices and proper documentation.

**Position Objective:** To perform activities related to the Microbiology Department in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and to appropriately document such activities.
**Main Responsibilities:**
* Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices
* Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to each of their functions
* Perform surface monitoring in all plant areas and equipment according to the established schedule
* Perform monitoring of living surfaces and gloves of all personnel involved in sampling activities for raw materials, inputs, intermediate products, finished products, as well as in production areas
* Perform monitoring of potable water and purified water according to the established schedule
* Carry out sampling of sanitizers used in the plant
* Conduct microbiological tests on various sample types (raw materials, intermediates, bulk products, finished products, potable water, purified water, environmental monitoring, surface monitoring in areas and equipment, monitoring of living surfaces and gloves, primary packaging, sanitizers) according to the corresponding SOPs
* Proceed with isolation, identification, and enumeration of microorganisms found in the analyses performed
* Calculate and interpret test results and issue conclusions and reports accordingly
* Ensure accurate completion of records in the area in accordance with Good Documentation Practices
* Use required personal protective equipment for the Microbiology area
* Properly use laboratory materials, reagents, and equipment in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices and the corresponding SOPs
* Management and control of reference strains
* Management and control of culture media
* Investigation, determination, and/or rejection of raw materials and finished products based on microbiological criteria
* Validation of microbiological analytical methods
* Collaborate coordinately with personnel from other departments in validation processes involving microbiological criteria

**Work Experience:**
* Minimum 1 year of experience in similar positions
**Academic Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biology, Industrial Chemistry, or a closely related university program
