We are currently seeking talent with strong performance potential and energy capable of strengthening and fostering the positive work environment we take pride in. **POSITION SUMMARY** Develop, analyze and manage forecasted internal manufacturing cost estimates and suggested external customer selling price wire harness quotations according to appropriate cost/selling price models, supporting Business Unit teams with data required to accurately evaluate projected profit margins, business planning, and external customer demands. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES \& AUTHORITIES** * Process costing requisitions indicated by various request methods (email, BEAMS) for quote development, accuracy and profit analysis, and delivery of. * Determine and apply the appropriate costing process for each requested quote type (Absolute, Design Change \- ECO, TW, GAME, Simple PR). * Utilize main costing toolset GCT (Global Costing Tool) as foundation for quote generation. * Demonstrate a basic understanding of customer and affiliate quoting standards and calculations. * For (Low Complexity Special Requests) requests, create breakdown manually inside quote templates, considering the matpage (engineering changes) and assign manually the prices and labor process times. * Search, extract and import BOM (bill of material) documents from data warehouse tools and perform validation to drawing. * Comprehend, interpret and identify special processes in wire harness, component drawings and associated design changes to achieve accurate quotation for the customer. * Analyze and manually edit BOM structure (Low Complexity) for improved accuracy in material and labor calculation. * Utilize Core Purchasing and ECI toolsets to locate existing material price contracts; coordinate with functional groups to obtain firm or estimated pricing for new materials without existing price contracts. * Analyze material and labor price agreement in order to ensure the quality of quote. * Collaborate and maintain strong communication with various Business Unit departments and regional Functional Teams to achieve customer deadlines and avoid financial risks. * Actively engage and contribute to local and regional meeting discussions. * Provide feedback to Engineering and Tools teams related with Costing, via data feedback and system tools for correction implementations and standard best practice enhancements to avoid future repeated errors resulting in financial harm and integrity decline with customer. * Identify, investigate, develop business case, and propose component labor corrections to regional functional group leader to promote increased global financial quote accuracy, with guidance from other team members. **REQUIREMENTS** Degree Requirements: Business Administration/ Engineering bachelor’s degree or equivalent work related experience Certification Requirements: NA Previous Experience: 1\-2 years of experience Minimum experience in the automotive industry preferable in the **C****ost Engineering or design area** Travel Requirements: Minimum – based on the necessities of the Business Unit or external customer Language: English skills A1 level Application/Software: Competent in Excel software On Call Requirements: NA Physical Requirements: Primarily Sedentary (is the position an office position) **Equal Employment Opportunity Statement.** Yazaki is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, national origin, disability, different abilities, or any other characteristic protected by law.
