**POSITION: Quality Inspector (Footwear Industry)** **Position Objective:** Ensure that manufactured products comply with the company's established quality standards through inspection of materials, processes, and finished goods, thereby contributing to the reduction of defects, rework, and returns. **Functions and Responsibilities:** * Inspect raw materials used in footwear manufacturing (leathers, soles, adhesives, hardware, among others), verifying compliance with specified requirements. * Supervise and inspect products at various stages of the production process (cutting, stitching, lasting, finishing). * Detect, identify, and report quality defects such as seam failures, delamination, color variations, deformations, and poor finishes. * Verify measurements, symmetry, appearance, and functionality of finished products. * Classify products according to established criteria (approved, rework, or rejected). * Prepare and maintain inspection records, quality reports, and related evidence. * Promptly inform the production department of detected deviations and propose corrective actions. * Follow up on implemented corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement. * Comply with the company's established quality policies, procedures, and standards. **Position Profile:** * Education: Completed secondary school or high school diploma (preferred). * Experience: Minimum 1 year of quality inspection experience in the footwear industry or similar manufacturing environment. * Knowledge: Footwear manufacturing processes, quality criteria, defect identification. **Skills and Competencies:** * Attention to detail * Responsibility and commitment * Objectivity in decision-making * Teamwork * Effective communication **General Conditions:** The incumbent must perform their duties in accordance with the company's established guidelines, maintaining confidentiality regarding processes and products, and complying with applicable safety and hygiene regulations.
