**Position:** Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager
**Work Location:** Queretaro (Mandatory)
A Strategic Sourcing Manager (Commodities) is responsible for developing and implementing the sourcing strategy for the plant protein category, ensuring timely supply of quality materials suitable for our plants in Mexico. In addition, they will work closely with global and regional teams to assess risks and opportunities arising from market volatility, creating price risk management strategies that maintain business competitiveness and financial integrity.
Sustainability and social responsibility will be fundamental pillars of this role, collaborating closely with functions such as Corporate Affairs, R&D, and Sustainability. Furthermore, this position holds responsibility for the microingredients category and direct leadership of a Senior Buyer.
As part of the role, you will also participate in the development and implementation of sub-category purchasing strategies, driving regional and global initiatives through strategic supplier relationships, as well as standardization and automation projects. Cross-functional collaboration and close engagement with key stakeholders will be essential to success in this position.
What are we looking for?
Education and Professional Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Agro-industry, or a related technical field.
* More than 7 years of professional experience.
Knowledge and Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement / Purchasing or commercial functions.
* Strong understanding of raw materials, transformation processes, and commodity markets.
* Ability to operate effectively in multicultural environments, volatile markets, and ambiguous situations.
* Advanced English (mandatory)
What will be your key responsibilities?
* Develop and execute sourcing strategies using the Mars framework and appropriate tools for the market category.
* Actively participate as a member of the Global Category Team and establish/maintain working relationships with category procurement managers across the region.
* Develop and implement regional/global contracts and their respective Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring pricing, volume rebates, capacity, and service levels.
* Build category sourcing expertise to provide market and financial insights, as well as strategic inputs for the operational plan.
